This course introduces the core concepts, terminology, and structures that underpin modern digital commerce. It enables a foundational understanding of e-commerce as an integrated business and technology discipline. Serving as the entry point to the E-Commerce Specialist pathway, it prepares learners for progression into advanced specialist training. The course focuses on key e-commerce business models, platforms, payment systems, digital marketing fundamentals, and basic operational workflows.
The Concept Labs are included to contextualise e-commerce principles within realistic business environments. They focus on conceptual application, decision-making, and analytical thinking across key areas such as e-commerce models, platforms, payments, marketing, and operations.
This course also serves as a preparatory course for the ESE101: E-Commerce Fundamentals Examination.
